Mama is a hard survivor! In April this year, she fled to Egypt by road with my aunties and cousins from the war in Khartoum. She spent days with no access to electricity texting us that she is fine when her neighbourhood was targeted by air raids. She sheltered in place until it was no longer safe to do so and fled. Since then, our family home has been damaged by several air raids and RSF militia have violently entered to loot. After 7 days!!! of being brave crossing the desert she was brought to Cairo by family members. They has been there since. Ziad, my brother, managed to evacuate and come to us, his sisters, to London with my father. We would like to bring her home and with the cost of living crisis and lack of support (the systemics are not ones i have energy to break down rn but issa lot) it is taking too long for us to work enough side hustles to gather the funds. If you, or anyone you know can help us bring her home, her birthday is this month and we want to CELEBRATE her, we want her to come home. The funds will cover flights and further support for the first few months. Please share Ola, Ziad, Sarah <3
