It never comes easy to have to ask for help. Something Brennon doesn’t want to do. But out of love and desire to help in a situation like this, help me to help him and his family! It could be any of one us, at any given time. Accidents don’t plan play dates! Let’s show their family some love! This past weekend, on July 1st, Brennon and his family were outside working on his boat to get ready for a day on the water for the upcoming holiday. While working on the gas tank, there was a spark that cause the motor to explode on him. Within seconds, a normal day turned into a nightmare. After EMS arrived, Brennon was transported to Kenansville where he was then airlifted to Chapel Hill Burn Center. 30% of his body has been burned in the accident, specifically both arms, hands, his face and feet. As of now, Brennon has undergone several skin scrubs to the superficial skin. Today (July 3rd) he will have a blood infusion and then go into surgery to have a deep clean of the skin. That’s where they will get down to the lowest point of live skin to determine just how bad his burns are. During surgery they will decide if he needs skins grafts and perform those at this time. Many people know that Brennon works for himself in chicken houses daily. A great livelihood, but not the cleanest atmosphere. After speaking with doctors, understandably, he will be out of work a considerable amount of time, depending on how quickly his wounds heal. And even after, the likely hood of infection due to the work atmosphere would be highly likely. This has been discussed with doctors and they have spoken their concerns.Unfortunately, bills don’t stop. Mallory has been by Brennon’s side the entire time. So thankful for her dedication to him. As their family deals with such a horrific incident, I would love to lessen the burden and worry of how bills will be paid during this time of healing! I personally am asking for help, to help them!UPDATE: Brennon and Mallory want you to know that the love that has been shown to them through phone calls, texts, messages, thoughts and prayers, LFEBridge, all of it has not gone unnoticed. They are humbled by it all. ❤️ Brennon says when this is over and gets home he wants to thank each one of you personally. They are still in Chapel Hill working hard with PT to get home which might be soon since he is mobile. He still has a very long road to travel but with continuous prayer and perseverance we know he will get there.
