In November of 2024, Hailey found a lump on Brandtly’s abdomen, this was eventually diagnosed as Wilm’s Tumor - a pediatric kidney cancer. After his left kidney was removed he went through radiation and chemo treatments until the end of May 2024.  He has had his regular scans and checkups since then and all had been ok until his one year check up. Brandtly had his 1 year scan June 12, 2024 and the results showed a lesion on his lung. He had the biopsy done July 6th and preliminary results were back on the 7th.  When his results came back, it showed a relapse of Wilm’s. While the lesion was fully removed with surgery, the tumor board agreed that Brandtly should be put on a medical trial. This trial started in 2019 and they haven’t changed their protocol since. This is good news because it means the success rate is high. He will get his port in on July 24th and chemo will start July 25th.  He and a family member will spend 4 days in the hospital for inpatient treatment (every three weeks) for approximately 30 weeks. Week 1 chemo Week 2 recovery Week 3 starting to feel good Repeat He will also go through 10 rounds of radiation during these treatments. The money raised will go towards medical bills, household bills, gas, and travel expenses. “Thank you all for your continued support and prayers. It’s going to be a rough road but we are glad we have our family and friends for help.” Matt and Hailey Clark
