Hello everyone, my name is Moss, and I'm writing today on behalf of my father, Bill White. My father is the brightest man in my life who I look up to very much. Unfortunately, these past few months have been incredibly difficult. My father was hospitalized in May, and after a lengthy hospital stay of 52 days, was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure, and forcibly discharged to a less-than-great nursing home, where he is temporarily located. I'm opening up this LFEBridge as he needs to be relocated to Ohio to live with Billy & Roxi, who have been very graciously handling most of his medical needs and funds thus far. Unfortunately, this is not sustainable. Due to bureaucratic hellscapes within our Medicare and Medicaid systems, Bill was unable to be granted ESRD Medicaid- a social worker within the hospital he was admitted to submitted the forms incorrectly, to say the least. All he has currently is Medicare A- which does not cover anything, not even dialysis. Medicare B will not be available until October at the earliest. This has pushed the timeline for him to move to Ohio up to an ASAP situation, within the next few weeks. At any point within the next few weeks, the nursing facility he is in can give him 72 hours of notice before they discharge him, and he is unable to stay in Florida as there is nobody there to take care of him, and he's in no state to be left alone. He is severely underweight, needs dialysis 3 times a week, has severe dental issues and has an unknown clotting disorder that the doctors are dragging their feet on. He's had to have his dialysis port replaced 2 times now due to clotting issues and a misshapen jugular. We want to relocate him to Ohio ASAP, not only for the imminent threat of the nursing home abandoning him but also so that he can receive the medical care that he so desperately needs. We need to ensure Bill leaves Florida in good standing with debt, which we've been putting all of his social security income towards and have taken on a few bills ourselves. We need some help paying off a bit more of the debt and furnishing the room where he will be staying with Billy and Roxi. Things such as an appropriate and comfortable support bed, a comfortable chair for at-home Dialysis, medical supplies, travel costs, and more. That is why we're asking for help today. Anything received will go directly to Bill and ensure that he gets up to Ohio as soon as possible, and as safely as possible. We feel incredibly guilty having to ask for help here, but we've exhausted all other resources, and this is our last possible hope. Thank you so much for your kindness.
