Dear Friends, Family, and Compassionate Strangers, We reach out to you today with a request on behalf of our amazing Aunt Bev, a remarkable woman who has faced adversity with strength and resilience. We are rallying together to provide the support she needs during this critical time in her life, while also honoring her commitment to helping others. Bev's journey began in 1997 when a tragic car accident forever changed her life, confining her to a wheelchair. Despite the challenges she faced, Bev's spirit propelled her forward, and she became an inspiration to all who knew her. She also dedicated her life to caring for our Uncle Scott throughout his battle with cancer until his passing in 2015. In addition to her personal struggles, Bev co-founded the Neuro Assistance Foundation, a remarkable nonprofit organization that provides support and resources to individuals with spinal cord injuries. Through her nonprofit, Bev has positively impacted countless lives, offering hope and assistance to those in need. Now residing in Nebraska with her sister, Bev has encountered a new set of obstacles in recent months. Following several hospital stays due to a persistent stage 4 pressure sore that refuses to heal, her doctors have advised her to acquire a new bed and a specialized lift to facilitate her healing process and help in prevent this from happening again in the future. Together, the cost of these items comes to $60,000. Unfortunately, insurance will not cover these essential medical equipment expenses. (Check out the photos to see Bev's current setup and the new bed/lift she needs to purchase.) Every donation, no matter the size, brings her one step closer to her goal. Your contribution will go directly towards acquiring a state-of-the-art bed and lift, ensuring Bev's safety, mobility, and a conducive environment for her recovery. In doing so, we also honor her relentless efforts in supporting others with spinal cord injuries. Share this campaign with your networks, spread the word, and help us build a solid foundation for Bev's healing journey! With gratitude, Lauren and the Supportive Community for Bev
