Hi everyone! My name is Bethany and I am 31 years old. I was diagnosed with kidney failure in July 2024 and began my transplant journey in October 2024. Although I’m extremely grateful for the treatment I receive, the physical toll dialysis takes on my body is excruciating and exhausting. In June of 2024 I was approved to be listed on the kidney transplant list which was the best news I could receive. However, the cost of the surgery and aftercare is overwhelming even with insurance covering the majority. I'm reaching out to my community for help and support.
