Sarah Wombough is 37 years old and is a single mother to 3 boys, 2 of which are twins (9th graders) and special needs. Starting in November of 2024, she has been in and out of the hospital with a combination of illnesses. Below is a brief description of her condition. Because of her inability to work, I am attempting to raise money to help pay her monthly expenses. My mother, grandmother and I have been mostly taking care of her bills, but she needs more help. More importantly, she needs prayer and to experience the love of God. The root issue is Essential Thrombocytosis. She produces too many platelets and this causes blood clots. She has numerous clots in her portal veins, and these clots have stressed out smaller veins to the point of bursting and causing internal bleeding. She has a liver hematoma that is damaging her bile ducts causing them to leak bile into her abdominal cavity. Currently, Sarah is undergoing a spleen procedure to remove half of her spleen because it has swollen about 20x its normal size. She is bleeding internally still, and she is not producing any new red blood cells so she is getting multiple blood transfusions. Sarah is about 5'10" and now weighs 113 lbs. Sarah is very scared and worried about being able to care for her 3 boys. There have been multiple medical intervention attempts but nothing has been successful and there is no solution at this time. Issues just keep popping up. When she is home, she is limited in her capacity to do things like grocery shopping and getting the boys to school. Any assistance that you can provide will go towards providing for the basic monthly needs of the family.
