A message from Savannah's family, On the morning of July 6th, we were all preparing for what we thought was about to be some of the most joyous and happiest of times. Everyone was eager to meet Savannah and her big brothers were finally going to get to hold their baby sister. Unfortunately, that morning did not play out as we had hoped. As soon as Savannah Grace was born, doctors and nurses noticed bruise-like marks on her skin that covered her entire body. Testing of all sorts began immediately and a skin biopsy was done. The spots completely faded after a few days and they started to think it could have been a side effect from Sarah having Covid in her first trimester. The Initial results for the biopsy came back inconclusive but one doctor still wasn't convinced and consulted with a lab at the University of Michigan. Unfortunately, after some additional testing and second opinions, it was confirmed that Savannah was born with Congenital Acute Myeloid Leukemia, also known as AML. Due to this complex diagnosis and given she is only 12 days old, the hospitals in Las Vegas do not feel comfortable treating her. Savannah is being flown by Flight for Life to Children's Hospital Los Angels. With Savannah's medical care being our top priority, our goal is to raise funds to alleviate some of the financial, mental and emotional hardships Sarah, Brad, Logan, Matthew and baby Savannah will undoubtedly face on this journey to recovery. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing Savannah's story in the hopes of getting this sweet girl the care she needs and desperately deserves.
