Family and Friends, I am reaching out on behalf of my Sister Kati and Brother-in-Law Mike to seek support for their baby Eli, a brave little soul and serious fighter who is currently battling severe complications following a recent surgery. I’m starting this campaign to raise funds for Eli’s ongoing medical expenses and ensure that he receives the best care possible. On Tuesday morning Eli underwent a fairly routine hernia surgery which unfortunately resulted in unexpected and very serious complications. Eli went in to cardiac arrest shortly after he arrived in recovery, it took the team of heroes at Hurley Hospital nearly 30 mins to resuscitate him. One of those hero’s is our cousins amazing wife, Julianne. Julianne, we can’t even begin to thank you enough! This complication has prolonged his hospital stay and increased the financial burden on his family. They are now facing overwhelming medical expenses and extended hospital stays which will undoubtedly cause a serious income interruption and push them beyond their financial limits. Eli has been transferred to Detroit Children’s Hospital where he will have another team of amazing Doctors watching over and caring for him on his long road to recovery. The emotional and financial toll on Eli's Parents is immense. They are doing everything in their power to support their brave child, while still caring for their 4 other children, but they need our help to navigate this challenging journey. Any contribution can make an enormous difference in their lives and help alleviate the financial stress they are experiencing. All contributions will be used to help cover medical and travel expenses and help supplement the family’s loss of income while they are unable to work until Eli’s condition improves.
