Hello, I am setting this up for another family. On December 21 of 2024, Carter was born. He was born with Downs Syndrome and some other medical conditions which necessitated him staying in ICU for 40+ days in Spokane, WA (3 hours away from home). His parents stayed with him during this time, only leaving his side at night and a few days for absolute necessity. His dad, Justin, missing work nearly the entire time while supporting his wife and watching over baby Carter during his stabilization and recovery. He has since been released and happily sent home, albeit with oxygen and a feeding tube. He cannot eat (or drink) due to airway issues and poor circulation caused by a malformed heart. In spite of all this Carter is one of the cutest and sweetest babies ever! Today he is in a 4+ hr long open-heart surgery to patch a hole in his heart at Sacred Heart Children’s Hospital. Doctors are very positive about his condition and recovery, but it will take an undetermined amount of time before releasing him back to his parents to take home. They are out of town and still recovering from the previous financial setback during this time. Anything helps! Thank you!
