Update: Ayla has had complications due to the chemotherapy associated with her bone marrow transplant. We have been in the ICU with her being intubated for 3 weeks now. Her treatment inpatient will be prolonged for at least a couple of months followed by intensive outpatient appointments. Due to the complexity of the situation our daily hospital life has become financially challenging. Food for myself, her mother and other expenses surrounding her care are not covered by insurance. Please help if you can. Thank you for continued love and support for Ayla and our family. On August 28, 2024, my (now) 15-year-old daughter Ayla was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). As you can imagine, this turned our lives inside out. After almost 1.5 years in remission, Ayla's cancer relapsed on July 14, 2024. This time, she will need a bone marrow transplant (BMT). This process causes major and permanent health issues, including infertility. Please help us to afford egg harvesting (as it is not covered by insurance) to allow Ayla the option to carry a child as an adult. Thank you!
