Hello, my name is Sherry and I am raising funds for my daughter and son-in-law, Lydia and Joshua Austin. Lydia and Josh have a 3 1/2 year old daughter and just delivered twin girls at 28 1/2 weeks. Lucy was 2 lbs 15.2 oz and Danielle was 1 lb 11 oz. At 19 weeks the doctor discovered growth restriction for Baby A and they began every other week ultrasounds in Greensboro. In early July the ultrasound showed intermittent absent blood in Baby A and they began every week ultrasounds in Greensboro. July 12th - 14th Lydia was admitted to Wake Forest Baptist for continuous fetal monitoring and was then diagnosed with mild preeclampsia. Babies and mom were considered stable and sent home for biweekly ultrasounds in Greensboro. July 24th the ultrasound showed persistent intermittent blood flow to Baby A and Lydia was again admitted to Wake Forest for monitoring and steroids. On July 26th fetal monitoring showed Baby A was in distress and an emergency C-section was performed that evening. The twins will be in the NICU until their original due date in October. Even though they have insurance they will have major medical and traveling expenses until the girls are home. Any donation is greatly appreciated. The twins are doing well with the expected ups and downs of preemies delivered at their age and weights. Big sister, Ruth’s visit with her sisters
