We, Kim Bryson, Alix Bergstrom and Amy Moffitt wanted to create this page for our dear friend, Nancy Kunes to raise funds to help with medical bills and long-term care expenses for her son, Ethan. On June 19, 2024, Ethan, tragic injury and is in Shock Trauma in Baltimore, recovering from a traumatic brain injury. Unfortunately, the extent of Ethan’s injury is evolving; however, his life will be changed forever. The duration of his recovery will be long, approximately a year or more, and his limitations are still unknown. We want to say thank you for the quick response of local law enforcement, paramedics, and the staff at Shock Trauma, which enabled Ethan to have a fighting chance Ethan graduated from Harford Tech High School in June 2024 and had decided to attend Harford Community College for the first year to two. Ethan planned on playing soccer for the community college and pursue paralegal studies. Ethan is a smart, funny, and caring young adult who comes from an amazing and giving family. He is the older brother of 16 year old twins. Ethan’s mother, Nancy is a respected physical therapist with Johns Hopkins who specializes in pediatric care. She is a warm and caring mother who gives back to the community. She has touched many childrens’ and families’ lives by the help she brings to their doorstep. She dedicates her time to help infants and toddlers with disabilities and birth defects to make sure they have their best foot forward during their recovery. Additionally for years, Nancy has given back to her community in Harford County, dedicating her time to coach her and other children. Most recently, she committed her spare time coaching basketball at a public high school in Harford County where her children do not even attend. Nancy has touched many families and their hearts, always being there and putting everyone before herself. On behalf of the Kunes family, we are asking for your kind and giving hearts to help donate, no matter how big or small, because every little bit will help. Your generosity and prayers will help them through this nightmare. The teenage years are challenging for teens and young adults and while we do not know why Ethan decided to take the action he did, it would be greatly appreciated and amazing if we could contribute anything to the Kunes family so some of the stress and pressure of Ethan’s recovery could be alleviated, even if it’s just a little.
