If you know Arlo at all, you know that his is OBSESSED with soccer. He has been playing since the age of 4, but has really come into his own in the last 6 months. He current plays for a wonderful club team, the Whetstone Park Rangers, which turned up this year to win their tournament championship! Arlo was big part of that effort in scoring TWO hat tricks and contributing 8 of the 15 goals scored - So when we heard about the Paris Saint-Germain Academy, we jumped on the opportunity to fuel his passion for the game and sharpen his skills. PSG is one of his favorite teams, hosting several of his soccer heros like Mbappe, Neymar Jr, and formerly, Messi. This past week he participated in the camp, and LOVED IT! He brought his all each day, and set a goal for himself that he achieved! …drum roll please… His goal was the be selected as a camp MVP - AND HE DID IT!!! He has been offered an exclusive opportunity to go to Paris, France and participate in the PSG Academy Clinic in May 2024!!! It is an incredible opportunity for him, and an honor to be invited!! Arlo also has deep ties to France through his French Immersion School, Ecole Kenwood. Kenwood has been a great experience for him and our family. The staff has taught him the language, the history of France, and how to support and contribute to a community of diversity with compassion - making the opportunity that much sweeter. To say that we are proud of him is a massive understatement ❤️ The week is full of training sessions with the PSG coaching staff, tours of Paris, and a farewell party at Princes Park, the PSG stadium! That said, the opportunity comes with a hefty financial obligation. We would love to get the whole family across the pond, but are currently working towards just an Arlo and mom trip. Though if the stars align, it will be a family affair. There are a lot of costs to consider - a passport, airfare, clinic fees, food, and beyond! The clinic alone costs $5890, just for the two of us.
