Hi Im Emma When I was 21 weeks pregnant my partner johnny and I found out that our baby girl Ariya had a heart condition and another condition called left Atriel insomerism . We were in Alice Springs and were told we would have to go to Melbourne to give birth at the Women's hospital and she would be taken straight to the Royal children's hospital . She was taken to the paediatric intensive care unit 5 minutes after birth and at 7 days old had her first heart surgery , she remained in ICU for another 3 weeks before heading to the Koala ward for cardiac kids , At 3 months they found she had a malrotated stomach and on the Easter Monday she was rushed in for emergency stomach surgery and we were back in ICU for her to recover from that , 2 wks later she had her 2nd heart surgery which went for 12 long hours but Ariya being the warrior she is was back to her happy smiling self in just a couple of days . We are still waiting for her next heart surgery which was meant to be when she turned 6months which is in a week and a half but unfortunately has been delayed so she can grow just a little bit more . We have been in hospital since she has been born which is going on 6 months and will be here until she has her 3rd operation plus the recovery time . We are starting this go fund me to help us get through this stressful time , we have found a house close to the hospital as she will need monitoring and check ups after she is discharged and living in Northern Territory is not a good option. We will need funds for furniture and the everyday essentials we all need in everyday life to get us through until we can get on top of things again . I have 4 other kids who are living with my Mum and Sister during this time and they live 3 hours away so we don't get to see each other very often I also need to help my mum with supporting them aswell .
