Hello friends My name is April Porterfield. I’m reaching out to you based on some unexpected health concerns. On May 5th I scheduled myself for a routine procedure for women called Uterine Fibroid Emobilzation. For women in their 50’s such as myself; the body needs direction on when menopause needs a helping hand. My reasoning for having the procedure was simply my constant struggle with blood clots. Thinking that my UFE would fix my problem I pursued my path with no concerns. 7 days later I was having emergency surgery. I didn’t know I was allergic to Heparin. Since the discovery of my allergy; I have had 7 surgeries. The condition called HITT is the allergy that has taken me from family; my occupation, my teammates and my home. I would ask if you could gradually give anything to assist me with hospital bills as I challenge to take on my new normal. And for all of the well wishes via physical visit, phone call, text and flower delivery ; I offer my sincerest thanks from me and my family. Kindest regards, April
