My name is Alfred C. Rogers. On Jan. 5, 2024, my daughter gave birth to a precious boy, Antonio Pride. Unfortunately, this little angel entered the world with the odds stacked against him. Antonio was born with many life-threatening illnesses which he continues to battle. He was born with underdeveloped lungs and was diagnosed with pulmonary hypoplasia (holes in the lungs). He has urethral problems that inadequately filter the toxins from his body during urination and is actively in chronic kidney failure. He is also anemic (iron deficient) and has multiple gastro-logical issues such as acid reflux, calcium deficiency, etc. which have unfortunately led to him being on a permanent feeding tube. Additionally, Antonio must endure injections three times per week to control his bladder spasms. Antonio just started peritoneal dialysis in July of 2024 to undergo life-saving measures to sustain his life. He is undergoing care at Levine's Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC The duration is uncertain at this time. It is estimated that he should be around 2 years old before he is eligible for a kidney transplant. His mother (Serena Sikorski) and my lovely wife (Helen Rogers) are Antonio's primary caregivers and as such, Serena is unable to work with the need to be at Antonio's side to handle his constant regiment of care. This has left the family in financial distress and the debt will only continue to accumulate throughout the process of the attempt of saving this fierce but mighty little warrior's life. Antonio's family are residents of Clover, SC, The town with the word "LOVE" smack dab in the middle of its name. Should you find the love in your heart, Please Pray, Share Antonio's life everywhere, and if you are able, consider financially contributing to the cost of living for Antonio and his family during this difficult time. Alfred C. Rogers
