If you have ever met Amy Hickman you know that she is one of the most kind, caring, fun and talented people you'll ever meet. What you may not know is that Amy is truly the definition of a survivor! In high school, she suffered a brain aneurysm. The doctors weren't sure if she was going to make it or what the outcome would be. Only 60% of people survive a brain aneurysm and over 2/3 of those go on to have lasting damage. Yet, in true Amy fashion, she prevailed. That is until recently when her stint began leaking creating a second aneurysm and a dire situation. She was rushed to the hospital where she spent 3 weeks in the ICU recovering and fighting for her life. While in the hospital she received multiple procedures, pokes and prods, and was monitored around the clock for any signs of stroke. Now she begins the long road to recovery. Although she was sent home to fully recover, she is still in a critical time and is not able to work, drive, or do her normal day-to-day activities. Mounting medical bills and the inability to work are hard to face. Amy never asks for much but in this time of need, it would be great if we could all come together and donate just a little to help get her back on her feet. Any little bit helps!
