Aloha, my name is Krista Donnelly and I am fundraising on behalf of my dear friends Amie Kamthamala and Bradley Beck. Amie and Brad welcomed their son into the world at just 25 weeks gestation. Makoa James Beck was born on Saturday, July 22, 2024, at 8:04 PM in Honolulu, Hawaii. He weighs 2 pounds, 4 ounces and measured at 13.3 inches and has been spending his time growing and snuggling with his parents in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The name Makoa means, "bold, brave man" in Hawaiian and he is truly living up to his name already! Amie will surely share more information about her birth story at a later time when she is ready, but we need your help in supporting this loving, growing ohana. With the birth being so early and Makoa being in the NICU, the hospital and doctors anticipate Amie and Brad needing to spend the next 3 months with Makoa in the NICU while he progresses along. This comes with a lot of stress financially for medical expenses as well as living expenses, as they will not be able to work full-time during this NICU stay. Makoa is doing great so far! They have a long road ahead of them, so all the love and prayers are appreciated. This little ohana is just incredible and we are so grateful for the care they are receiving. That being said, there are so many expenses that go along with having a baby in standard circumstances, let alone something like this, so we'd like to help them in any way that we can so that they can focus solely on Makoa and his journey. Thank you for loving and praying for this sweet ohana! ~Krista Donnelly
