Hi, My name is Kenidie Barnes. This fundraiser is being created to help me raise the money needed to continue my journey of becoming a certified recovery coach. For those of you who don't know, I am now almost 4 years clean and sober, a Peer Support Specialist (recovery coach), a leader at my local Celebrate Recovery, a volunteer at my church, and also (this one is my favorite) a grateful daughter of my Heavenly Father. As a recovery coach for Westcare Gulfcoast-FL, Inc. Outpatient. I work with people who struggle with addiction on a daily basis. I enjoy helping others recover more than anyone could ever imagine because I’ve been there myself. I know what it feels like to feel stuck in the downward spiral of addiction. I am free of my past, and I’m helping others find that same freedom. But there is one part of my past that still has a small hold on me – and that is the purpose of this fundraiser. I have several legal fines from my past that I have been working at paying off. There is still roughly $2,500 remaining. This will need to be paid off soon in order to get my exemption to become a certified recovery coach. I am still working to get there, but I could really use some help to make it across the finish line. The deadline is quickly approaching, so I am asking for help from whoever may have the ability.
