Hi, my name is Travis Campbell and I’m setting up this GoFund Me for my Uncle Allen and Aunt Nancy Leonard. In case you don’t know the story on 7-8-23 at approximately 9:30pm what had been a relatively normal relaxing day for them came to an abrupt end as they were returning to their camper after having dinner, they were hit head on by a drunk driver. The injuries that each of them sustained in this accident were horrific, resulting in several broken bones and severe trauma to Allen’s body. Nancy had to have surgery to repair a broken arm and hand, Allen had surgery on his arm as well. He has been in the hospital for roughly 17 days at the time I’m writing this. He is now being transferred to the Shepard’s Center in Atlanta, GA where he will endure many weeks/months of therapy to learn to use his arms and legs again. So as I have had many folks ask what they can do help the family (after much prayer and discussions with their immediate family) the most concerning need is the mountain of medical bills and traveling expenses that are ahead of them. They haven’t asked for anything and not any one of them ever would ask for help. But any person that knows Allen, Nancy, Joe or Susan knows that they are the first people to jump in and help others that are down and out. Uncle Allen is one of the most humble and sweetest humans that God has ever created and he has been a friend to so many people in our community. Please help us pray for healing and for a speedy recovery, we serve a mighty God that has already shown how He can move mountains and that He will answer the cry of His people.
