My name is Jeanette and I want to give the love of my life, Justin, an ear for his 40th birthday. Romantic, right? Well, here is our story:Justin was born with stage III microtia to his left ear. This is a congenital disorder that affects the formation of a baby's ear and their ability to hear. When Justin was younger he underwent three surgeries  to reconstruct the ear using the cartilage from one of his ribs and pelvis. This was 30 years ago, and the surgery did not turn out how he hoped. To know him, you would never notice his lack of an ear unless he mentioned it. He moves adeptly through his life and handles his partial deafness so well that you would think he had normal hearing. But, as his partner, I know there are still moments that bother him. There is still self-doubt and position changes for photos and daily accommodations that are made. There is still the desire to look more like everyone else than different. When we first met, four years ago, he told me that by his 40th birthday he wanted to have his ear reconstructed. Justin turns 40 on June 16th, 2016. That gives me 8 months to gather the funds to make this a reality. If you are able to help us, your money would be spent on the surgery that will make my Justin feel complete. Justin would do anything and everything to help the people he loves. His friends are his family. Even when he doesn't have a lot, he always wants to share what he has with his friends and loved ones. Justin is a giver and he would never in a million years ask for this kind of money from his friends. That's where I come in. I need your help for this to happen and I can't think of a better way than this to show him how  much his friends love him and have his back. If you could help us in any way (even $5 is so much to us!) and share our ear-seeking love story, we would be forever grateful. xoxo, Jeanette
