Hey, I’m Ali. I’m 26, I’m nonbinary and I have finally gotten the chance to get top surgery. I cannot begin to explain how much this will change my life but I’m going to try. I currently have a 34H/I cup and at a whopping 5ft, this is a literal massive weight on my chest. I have tried for so long to convince my GP that this surgery is necessary not just for my physical health but my mental health however due to the incredible pressure on NHS services at the moment, it just hasn’t been considered essential, due to this I am choosing to go private for this surgery which does unfortunately come with quite a great cost. I will be able to front the majority of this but due to the lengthily healing process, I will be out of work for a while leaving me out of pocket. This amount will be going purely towards the medical costs and because my chest is the size it is, the surgeon is also sending my tissue away for a pathology test to ensure that there is no cancerous tissue. This will ensure I have no unforeseen complications whilst healing. The surgery is booked for the 15th January 2024. I have my final consultation with my surgeon on the 11th December and my pre op checks with the nurse on the 22nd December. I am not one to ask for help often, especially financial help. Please, if you want to donate only do so if it doesn’t hinder your own life and luxuries in any way. I will be beyond thankful for anything people are able to put towards this fund. If you still want to contribute but cannot monetarily then please feel free to share the post. Thank you for taking the time to read this post and I appreciate every little bit of help so much more than I could ever put into words
