My name is Alexander, I shocked my parents and decided to join the world at 24 weeks old. I was 1 pound 8 ounces. It's been a long journey for my new parents, and they couldn't be happier to have me fight for life each day. I just celebrated my 6 week birthday, in the short 6 weeks I've been alive, I've coded, gotten to ride in an AWESOME helicopter to join a new staff in a big city and I've survived my first heart surgery. I've accomplished a lot with the amazing support of my parents. I'm currently awaiting surgery to relieve pressure of fluid build in my brain. I'll get to have a cool new shunt in my brain to continue my journey to a normal healthy life at home with my parents.Through this journey there's been a lot of pressure on my parents. My parents have been on an emotional rollercoaster since I graced them with my presence and I know that although I'm loved by my family, my early arrival has had an unexpected financial impact on my parents since I will be living in the NICU for several more months.My parents would greatly appreciate any donations & support provided over the next few months to allow them to readjust to life with, me...Alexander the great.
