Alex is avid in the communities of skateboarding, vintage, and beer industries around the twin cities. Alex cut a tendon in his hand that has been slowly being repaired by surgeries. Alex has worked very hard for the last 6 months to reconstruct his hand. One year ago he decided it was time to take control of his life and live a life of sobriety and care for his healthcare needs. He has undergone Plates, screws, wires, tendon grafting, and physical therapy. His first injury was in 2004 and has been continuing to injure it since, only being able to afford to "Patch it up". 6 months ago he was only able to use half his hand and this affected his work and hobbies not being able to properly use his dominant hand. He was told he had a 10% chance to get this far in surgery and recovery and he has worked hard and is ahead of schedule. Determination! His last surgery is on July 31st. Alex has exceeded his medical outcome with patience, self-discipline, and hard work and is determined to play piano by Christmas. He has exhausted all his funds and just has the last surgery to complete. The final expenses are around $15,000. He will be out of work during the recovery. I am hoping to be able to help Alex Green come up with funds for the part of medical expenses that his surgery will not cover and to support the recovery time off needed. #We need a better healthcare system that covers our medical needs:( Anyone that knows Alex knows he is there to help anyone in need and does not ask for anything in return. Let's help Alex on his home stretch, support sobriety, and medical wellness.
