Alejandra is our younger sister. She is a beloved 3rd grade school teacher, she is loved by her family and friends, her students, fellow teachers, and school staff. She is a loving aunt always willing to care for her nephews. She is a generous and kind person always donating to charity and purchasing supplies to support her students in reaching their educational goals. She has been hospitalized since July 16th and in the ICU on a ventilator since July 21st after being diagnosed with a severe case of hemorrhagic pancreatitis and multi-organ failure. She has had many complications and is currently fighting for her life. The origin of her illness is unspecified at this time, her doctors believe it was caused by a genetic condition that caused extremely elevated triglycerides or an autoimmune disorder. Doctors say her severe pancreatitis is a rare case you only read about it in text books. Due to her current health status, her doctors anticipate a slow recovery. She will remain hospitalized for several months and will require extensive therapy thereafter. We are asking for prayers and if anyone is able and willing to help Alejandra we are sure she would greatly appreciate it.
