On the morning of Wednesday, October 22, 2015, Alan never expected the life altering event that was going to take occur that day. He started the day as he normally did by taking his dogs to the local park for a walk. He was also finalizing some last minute details for a charity event with 200+ attendees taking place later that evening. Alan's life altering change took place when he went in for a routine thoracic epideral to help alleviate chronic back pain. Immediately after the procedure Alan experienced a spinal stroke which resulted in Incomplete Quadriplegia. He has since been transferred to a hospital on the west coast of Florida that specializes in spinal injuries. The doctors have informed Alan and his family that only time will tell the extent of the injury and a full recovery is very unlikely. We can only hope at this time that he will regain some use of his hand(s) so that he maybe able to continue running his business and have some independence. I can tell you that Alan is a caring man that loves his wife, 2 daughters, and grandchild. His 5 year old grandson is his best buddy and fishing partner and will be expecting his second grandson in less than a month. Prior to this injury, Alan was an avid fisherman and injoyed spending time out on the water. He also has been involved with numerous charities for over 10 years and is someone that always put others before himself. This is a man who was extremely active with his family, friends and business and was the sole provider for his family. This tragic injury has robbed Alan of his active and wonderful life.  Please help us in supporting Alan and his wife Jane through this very difficult time.We are especially grateful to our family and friends who have offered their support. We also would like to thank his doctors who have cared for him since his paralysis.
