Hi Everyone, My name is Britt and I’m asking for some help for my son and his family. I normally wouldn’t reach out like this but I don’t know what to do anymore. As some of you know, Alan suffered from a mental breakdown on May 22, 2024. He sought help and had been admitted to a psychiatric facility. While in the facility, he ended up with a deep tissue infection that could have ended his life. He was taken to a Boston hospital where he required emergency surgery. He was in the hospital for over a week. His incision is still open and has nurses coming in daily to pack his wound. He also goes to a wound clinic on a weekly basis. Alan hasn’t been able to work since. He has been denied by unemployment, Massachusetts disability, and federal disability. His amazing wife, Mandy, had been the only income for the last 2 1/2 months. They are barely surviving on her income to support them and 2 young girls. I am asking for your help to try and get them back on their feet. I know they are behind on rent and not able to afford groceries. Any donation is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your support and kindness. Update Alan will not see the surgeon again until September. So he will be out of work until at least then. He was also denied by welfare.
