On July 3, what started as a normal day suddenly forever changed my life and the life of my loved ones especially my young daughters. A tragic event took away my ability to walk and I'm currently paralyzed. Im remaining prayful and know that God has the final say. With that said I have a long road ahead of me. Including additional surgery on my spine and lungs and several procedures and am still trying to process everything that is to come during this upcoming road to recovery. If I imagined this today, I would be running my business, the barbershop, and looking forward to a fun-filled weekend with my beautiful daughters. Instead, I’m trying to muster up strength from the ICU at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta Georgia. With my family and medical team by my side, I am remaining hopeful and persistent. On my road to recovery, I am looking to gain admission to one of the top rehab centers in the United States, the Shepherd Center. I’ve been told that the next few months will entail 24 hr care and daily rehab with the hope to one day be able to walk my girls down the aisle and provide for my family again. Needless to say, all of this will be at a cost that I couldn’t have imagined and did not plan or prepare for. I writing to ask for your support and assistance to cover my medical bills to one day reclaim a new level of normalcy for me and my girls. Written on Al's behalf by his family
