Hey everyone. Some of you may or may not know this, but our family has been dealing with something very difficult for the last month. We’ve tried very hard to handle it ourselves and it’s just not possible. On July 6th, our mom, Adriane, suffered from a subarachnoid hemorrhagic stroke while at work. Essentially, her brain filled with more blood than her body could absorb. On top of that, while in the hospital, she developed a terrible infection by the name of ventriculitis. This infection and stroke together have caused long-lasting complications including debilitating effects and cognitive issues for our mom. But God! Despite all of these setbacks & spending over a month in the hospital, our mother was released from the hospital on August 8th. We are so thankful to God for keeping our mother here with us through all of the difficulties. She is now on a long road of recovery. We’ve decided, as a family, that it will be best for her to begin her recovery in Savannah, because that is where we have the most consistent support. Mom will require care 24/7 which includes occupational, speech, and physical therapy. Our mother has raised us to be strong and independent women. She has also taught us that it’s okay to ask for help when needed, so that is what we’re doing now. We’re asking for positive thoughts, prayers, and if your situation allows, a monetary donation. Donations will allow us to keep our mom’s rehabilitation & financial affairs on track as well as providing her with all that she needs to be comfortable while she’s on the long road to recovery. Doctors are hopeful and we are prayerful that she will recover. It’s just a matter of when. Any and everything is appreciated.
