Buy a puzzle piece to help us raise $25,000 for two adoptions by November 30th!Dear Friends and Family, God had presented us with not just one, but two possible adoptions!This July we met a young pregnant mom who decided it was best for her child to make an adoption plan. We met with her and she selected us for adoption! There have been several complications and the child is currently in the care of DYFS. Since then we hired a lawyer to represent the wishes of the birth mother. Not everything is cleared up yet, but this adoption looks promising in the next few months.Last week we received a call from Bethany that there is a newborn baby girl who needs a home in New Jersey. Bethany has identified us as a good match for the girl and have expedited our homestudy so that we can bring her home soon!Our prayer is that the Lord will work out both adoptions so that we can raise these two dear girls. Our goal of $25,000 will help pay the court costs of the first adoption and cover most the expenses of the second adoption.We have decided to “sell” puzzle pieces as a way to show how everyone has a part. Elizabeth created a hungry caterpillar theme for the nursery. She will develop a custom 1000 piece puzzle to fit this theme with a clear glass backing. If you donate $20 or more, we will write your name on the back of one of the pieces. The first 125 people who donate $50 or more will get an edge piece! This will give us a wonderful momento of all the people who helped us bring our daughters home. More important than financial support we need your prayers! For the first adoption, please pray that DYFS would cooperate and honor the wishes of the birth mom and not oppose the adoption. Pray that the man who we think is the father would be confirmed as the father and he would sign off on his parental rights as he said he would. For the second adoption, pray that we would be able to develop a favorable relationship with the birth mom. Also, pray that there will be no interstate complications placing the child across state lines. Finally pray that we would be able to execute smoothly two adoptions back to back. Like all adoptions, please understand that there is no 100% certainty that both of these will work out. Regardless, all funds will go towards an adoption.
