Hi, my name is Natalie and I’m Adam’s sister. Adam had been experiencing neck pain, pins and needles, and some weakness to his left arm the past few months. Going for an MRI for what he thought was a pinched nerve, unfortunately the results showed it was actually an unstable fracture in his neck which is pushing on his spinal cord. Adam had emergency surgery on the 17/7 for a C1 C2 spinal fusion. They also took bone from his hip and fused it in his neck with screws and rods. The surgery came with its own risks and there will be significant permanent limitations in his up/down, left/right movement. Recovery will also be a marathon and will be expected to be around 12 + months with significant changes to his life, such as the possibility of no working or driving. This has been a lot to take in for Adam, 43 and his wife, Sam, and their six beautiful children. Izaack 16, Emily 15, Alyssa 12, Eli 5, Luca 3, Connor 2. There is a long road ahead, and as Adam’s family we want to rally around him, be there to support them and love them, especially in a practical way. Every cent raised here will contribute to their living expenses, such as mortgage, food, utilities, modifications and recovery expenses. Thank you for supporting Adam, Sam and the kids in this challenging time x
