Hi, I'm Abi and I'm 12 years old. I was just diagnosed with B Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on 7-28-23. This happened so fast and has been very tough on myself and my family, but there's no way I'm losing this fight! In my free time, I love being at the farm. I love riding the horses, petting the cats, feeding the goats, and playing with the dogs. Especially Kody Sue, He's my favorite. I even like cleaning up after all of them, too, lol. At home, I love spending time with my 2 beagles named Brownie and Princess and teaching them tricks. I also have a turtle named Tameetha and a beta fish named Electrica. As you can tell, I love all animals. I love my family, too, and I know they are staying strong for me. I know I have a lot of changes coming my way, but I'm up for the challenge. I will have to home school for my 8th grade year, which I'm a little excited about. I can't wait to leave the hospital and go home so I can get back to normal, no matter what normal might be for me now. Abigayle wanted to say a few words to kick this thing off. We've allowed her to have a say in everything beings this is HER journey, and we're just here to help her every step of the way. As Abi's parents, we would love to extend our greatest appreciation for all the prayers, love, support, thoughts, and gifts coming in from everyone and every direction to Abi & our family. This has definitely been an overwhelming situation and happened so fast. We have a long, hard road ahead of us with her treatment plan and recovery, but Abi will get through this and eventually be in remission and then cured! We believe in the power of prayer, so please send all the prayers up for Abi. We are going to have a lot of weekly trips to the doctors office and several inpatient hospital stays throughout this process. We are asking for any assistance possible for things such as wigs and head scarves, at home activities, medications, travel expenses, living expenses, diet changing foods, hospital stay expenses, and whatever Abi will need throughout this entire treatment to make her more comfortable. Because of the frequent appointments that can not be missed, the new daily schedule that must be followed and our "new rules" from our Oncology team and endocrinologist team, Savannah will be staying home from work to make sure Abi will have all the attention needed until this Cancer is Crushed! #AbigayleSTRONG
