Hi, our names are Presco & Kasey Leighton and we are creating this fundraiser to help our dear friends Travis and Brittany Gunter with their medical expenses for one their beautiful daughters Abby’s upcoming surgery on July 20th, 2024. Abigale (Abby) was diagnosed early spring of 2024 with Chiari Type One Malformation. This is the cause for her not 100% normal way of walking, running and use of her legs. She also has always been easy to get car sick and extreme emotional swings. She has gone through a more extensive MRI to show not only the Chiari but also fluid on her spinal cord. This is what the Dr has told us the cause for her not being able to walk/run normally and also for many other of her symptoms. The Dr up in Spokane will be doing a 3 hr surgery. They will be removing part of the base of her skull, part of her vertebra, shrinking her tonsils and a few other things to do with the Chiari and the fluid. She will have to stay in the hospital for 3 to 4 days and then 3 plus weeks of recovery. We hope and pray Abigale will come through the surgery with no complications. We hope her post surgery recovery goes well and she will be able to go on to attend 1st grade in August as well as play with her two younger sisters. This beautiful family is only asking for words of encouragement and prayers. We feel there is so much more we could do and that’s why we’ve started this go fund me page on their behalf. Helping them to cover expenses such as traveling to and from doctors visits in Spokane, post surgery therapy, food and lodging to lessen the burden on them while they focus on supporting their beautiful daughter throughout the weeks and months to come.
