Family, friends and I are trying to raise money for someone I consider my brother. His name is Patrick and he has been beaten down by the cards he was dealt. It started when he broke his neck in a car accident on his way home from work and was left paralyzed. He was recovering in the hospital, alone, far from home and with little support. After a grueling recovery journey he miraculously regained the ability to walk. He was leaning on the pain pills prescribed by doctors to get by. After some time he had been cut off and was living in constant pain. He resorted to getting pain relief on his own, and was led down a rabbit hole that ended with him using fentanyl. Eventually he had been reduced to the lowest despair any person can know. During this time, his mom had tragically passed away from cancer. He has no one but his little sister. Friends and family wanted nothing to do with him. After a long period of time running from his consequences, Patrick turned himself in to serve his jail time and be ready to turn his life around. The reason we are raising money is because he wants to change his life. We are raising money to get him into a sober living so he has a place to stay and achieve long-term sobriety. He has no where to go and this is his one shot for a second chance. For those of you who know Patty, whether his past friends, current friends or friends of ours. Please donate what you can.
