Madison is a sweet and sassy 7 year little girl. On October 14th her mom Shannon, along with the rest of our family, received the worst news ever. Madison had been diagnosed with cancer!! Madison had not been feeling great for a few days and had complained of stomach pains on and off. Shannon discovered a lump on the side of Madison's abdomen. After Drs visits and being rushed to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto, Madison was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma. The lump on the side of her abdomen turned out to be a 17cm cancerous tumor located on her kidney.Madison's treatment will consist of months of chemotherapy, anywhere between 5 months and 18 months, as well as surgery to remove the tumor, along with her kidney.With this horrible diagnosis, Shannon will no longer be able to work while Madison is fighting this battle. As well, the cost of travel to and from Toronto on a monthly basis for 5 day stays at a time will become quite costly for her. Please find it in your hearts to help support Shannon and her family.
