On Saturday, June 17, just a few weeks after his high school graduation, we almost lost my nephew Ezekiel Naaktgeboren when he dove into the surf and broke his neck in 3 places. Completely paralyzed and close to drowning, his friend and a lifeguard were able to pull him out of the water and onto the beach where he helplessly lay, waiting for first responders. When they did get there, a miracle happened. As the paramedics stretched him out on the backboard on the beach, his broken bones reset, and he regained all feeling in his body. In excruciating pain, he was loaded in an ambulance and taken to Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. Many people have asked how they can help and this is a big one. Any help towards some of the bills that have mounted up would be much appreciated. Ezekiel is doing great and is looking to fully recover, but he still has a long road of recovery ahead of him. Please keep him in your prayers.
