My name is James Mead and I am an employee at Ross Orthodontics in Greenville, NC. There's Dr. Ross, the girls, and last but not least, me. Of the eight women in our office, two of them have been diagnosed with breast cancer this past year. The courage, strength, and fortitude exhibited by these women is nothing short of extraordinary. After seeing what women with breast cancer go through, the phrase "tough as nails" does not even begin to describe how tough they really are. My goal is simple. To honor the women close to me and all women who have gone through or who are currently fighting breast cancer. I am running the Outer Banks Marathon on November 8th to show my support for women fighting breast cancer. All of the money raised will be going to UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center in support of breast cancer research, treatment, and prevention. Please help me raise as much money as possible. With your help we can be not just one step, but 26.1 miles closer to a cure.
