Sean Urbano Green was born in Long Beach, Ca Sean Green is only 15 years old. He has had 3 blood transfusions and now has tomust have a bone marrow procedure on July 24, 2024. His mom is unable to work so that she can take him to treatments and care for him. She does not have benefits that pay for any leave of any kind. Neither of Sean's parents have any sick leave. The family is hurting not just emotionally but also financially because they are not able to take care of Sean and pay living expenses. Sean has treatments every day. We pray that when he is done, he will be able to go to Hawaii or the Philippines where more family reside to reflect on his journey and recovery from this cancer which has impacted him so much. Sean was recently released from the hospital after being admitted for 9 weeks. The medication has made him swell and gain a lot of weight. He is obviously very sad, exhausted and depressed. He is also unable to eat and will need a feeding tube soon. He says that everything tastes of metal. Please share this request for help with all your friends and family. Anything that you can offer even a $5 donation will help and is very much appreciated. SEANS STORY Sean's parents Lester and Rowena worked most of the day. So Sean's grandma Lapaz Huelar was a big part of his life taking care. Sean loved his grandma so very much. She and Sean were very close. She taught him how to speak Tagalog; a language spoken in the Philippines. The family moved to Everett, WA when Sean was 8 years old. At that time, Sean's grandma passed away. Sean was devasted. Then Sean fell in love with video games and football but he was also a straight-A student. Sean was the tackler on his football team. He played football until one day he got sick. In January 2024, Sean started coughing a lot. His parents took him to the doctor. They were told that Sean had COVID. He was treated but Sean continued coughing a lot but now he was also throwing up every time he started coughing. They also noticed he was losing weight. Sean's parents took him back to the doctor. Bloodwork and Lab/Xrays were all done and they also noticed Lymph Nodes were on his shoulders and neck. Sean's Parents were told that Sean had Leukemia. A Blood transfusion was immediately done. Sean had back-to-back transfusions and treatments and was in the hospital for 2 months. After being released Sean's parents now had to take Sean for treatments daily. With their jobs not paying for anything, it's very hard. They have no annual/vacation and no sick leave. Sean said that everything that he eats tastes like metal, so he has stopped eating. On 07/11/2024 they put a feeding tube down his throat, to help him eat. Sean just had a bad reaction from the chemo, he can’t breathe. Hoping that they can fix this God. Sean's bone marrow transfer is scheduled for 07/24/2024. Sean is a shy but very lovable child. He loves his family and they love him so much. We are praying for him and fighting with Sean to recover. Please keep him in your prayers. Thanks so much from his family Thank you in advance for your good thoughts, energy and financial support. Sean's family.
