Hello, My name is Rachel Hoyer, I have a beautiful husky named Zelda. She is almost 7 years old, I have had her since she was 10 months old. She is a energetic, fun, free-spirited girl and my best friend. She and I have been through the worst and best of times over the last 7 years. Including this last year when we got married to our husband (she thinks she's married to him) Cain and had a baby boy, her little brother. Unfortunately, on July 4th, Zelda ran out our front door and ran around our apartment complex, only getting startled each time a firework went off causing her to run farther away. She crossed hwy 370 behind our house and was struck by a car, breaking her front right leg. As of right now she is stable and showing signs of improvement. We are discussing with surgical teams to see if her leg is able to be repaired or if we are facing amputation. However, with these accidents come a lot of cost, emergency vets are very expensive and this is hitting our family a lot harder than we expected, especially financially. We appreciate you taking the time to look at our page, and any donations are much appreciated as they will be going towards her vet bills and recovery as they keep increasing every minute these days.
