Hi, My name is Riley and I’m an aspiring future racing driver going through the harsh but awesome journey of karting. I’m looking for support throughout this motorsport journey to get me back to the track after 7/8 months off due to lack of funds to move up to Junior category. Please check me out on Instagram below. We’re slowly learning the ropes with social media. https://instagram.com/riley_motorsport?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==What im desperately hoping for:• Kart package Junior OTK chassis £4512.00.• Junior Rotax Evo engine £2893.00. • Exhaust/Rotax specific parts. • Rims/Tyres required to compete.Depending on how fortunate I am we will be spending the money also on the racing fees such as entry fees, licensing fees, race fees and membership fees to the tracks. Story: A short run down of my journey: I started my journey on a “toy” (pictured below) when I was 4years old called a “crazy kart” which went 9mph, soon upgrading to a faster one which hit 15mph with trolley wheels at the rear which enabled me to soon understanding control, oversteer, the effects of speed and responsibility. (Albeit in a car park with colour coded cones as my race track :-)).I got my dad to take me to multiple races at Brands Hatch and of course Silverstone F1 which fuelled my desire from inside myself and therefore soon after my dad took me to a corporate kart track where of course I beat him and my dad realised I have potential.I entered a corporate kart championship but in the process discovered there was significantly faster karts out there ie “owner driver” ones that required a lot more skill and I not only wanted but needed that challenge to show my talent. My dad took multiple loans out with my Nan to give us such equipment that could be almost as competitive as the other karting enthusiasts and I will make up the difference with discipline and hard work competing in “owner driver” championships at local tracks. However just as I worked my way to the front we got hit unfortunately by lockdown and all the struggles that came with this period. We lost so much track time due to lockdown and a whole stage of my career which would have been at least a year to prove myself as a cadet or the year to move up and get serious with bigger, faster racing. In this period I discovered some seriously technical and fast tracks such as Whilton Mill and PFI International which I was drawn to. We had to further upgrade the kart, tools and go through vast amounts of tyres/equipment for my kart to again remain competitive which simply wasn’t feasible despite the investment from both my dad and nan.So two motorbikes of my dads had to go (sold) as-well as the car (sold) using the rental to lease vans to transport my kart/tools/engines etc to the track and losing any kind of daily vehicle also sacrificing any holidays but I wouldn’t have it any other way neither would my dad.We also dove head first into a big championship (post lockdown) taking us across the country racing which was the best experience ever. I learnt so much and met some really amazing people not to mention the awesome tracks and the challenges they presented. This kind of championship and the joys of traveling with it solidified to me I’m ready for the motorsport world and it’s what I want no matter the sacrifices I myself will have to make.Me and my dad was unable to buy a van prior to lockdown hence the rentals however now post lockdown the prices of vans are that of very very nice sports cars! and living in London with such charges as ULEZ, as my dad tells me, requires a fairly new vehicle to be exempt from costing more. And even the deposit for the van was a loan and crazy expensive so to now jump up to a junior rotax kart seems impossible which is why we took to such a platform as LFEBridge which is proving to be amazing with us understanding a new found kindness out there. And then with 2024 coming to an abrupt end and simply running out of funds we’ve yet to figure out a way back to the track with us now having to be in junior as I’m nearly 13 years old. So I am 7/8 months behind my friends and competitors, seeking help to get me back on track, with my friends/competitors and with a kart package.Being 7/8 months behind not to mention the time we lost during lockdown had only fuelled the fire in me to be the best I can and come back fighting with a smile and new found appreciation for the sport being out of motorsport now for what seems like forever to me. ☹To all who have been taking the time to read my profile I want to say thank you especially to those who have donated no matter the amount. I never expected such kindness and now I myself am seizing any opportunity I can to help people (mostly at school) learning what difference you and I can make :-)I, Riley have taken time to sit down with my dad and set this page up so It would be great to get a better understanding of why you’ve helped us and where your kindness comes from. Please let me know with all your comments.Thank you for taking the time to read my Story so far :-)Riley and Dad.
