Hi, my name is Sara and I am going in my 6th year as an Elementary School Art Teacher. I am wanting to offer my students and fellow teachers an after-school yoga club to better support their physical, social, and emotional well being. However, I would need to become a certified instructor in order to do that safely. I have been offered a scholarship for a large portion of the cost of training by the yoga studio where I currently take classes, but I still have a remaining cost of $1500. I need to be able to come up with these funds within the next couple of weeks to be able to secure my spot in the training program beginning in early August. I am asking for help as this would benefit not only myself but the students, teachers, and staff that so work with. I have personally experienced the transformative power of what yoga can do for your physical and mental health. If I am able to take this training program at my studio then I will be giving up every other weekend for the next several months. I feel that the sacrifice would be worth it in order to bring what I learn back to my classroom and school.
