Hi everyone! If you could take 5 minutes to please read this post. As many of you are aware myself and danielle just landed in Arusha, Tanazia a week ago to volunteer for WEHAF (Womens encouragement and HIV/AIDS foundation) on behalf of Siret volunteer. In such a short amount of time we have seen and learnt so much. The next 3 weeks we have here our focus is to really make as much as a positive impact as we can, not just within the WEHAF daycare but in the community as well. The work we are seeing out here done by WEHAF and all the volunteers of Siret is just amazing. Mothers are now opening their own businesses to start sustaining a life for themselves and their children. The children are starting to get a good pre education in the daycare, women are getting informed on HIV Prevention and restoration, and so much more. Again we ask you kindly to consider donating to the go fund me. There are so many people in need, that just need a kick start to help them have a sustainable life for themselves and their children. The money cannot go everywhere but depending on how much we have we will despurse the money to these places. As little as $5 could make a major impact in these womens and children’s lives. The money will be spread throughout the following: - Food baskets One food baskets will feed a family for a month. - Rent We are considering paying for certain locals rent just so it is one less worry for them and they can work towards making a better life for themselves. - Uniforms for the children Many kids do not have enough money to pay for there own clothes to go to school so having a uniform makes it easier for them to attend school with no worry. - School bus for WEHAF WEHAF needs another form of transportation to get the kids to daycare and the mamas to their workplacements. - Sanitary pads for women and education Reusable sanitary products for women.
