At SoL Criations Farm Sanctuary, we are a 501(c)(3) farmed animal sanctuary where we rescue and provide life-long sanctuary to typically farmed animals in need. It is our mission to educate, help make connections, and inspire non-violence, peace, and reverence for all life. We are currently home to 85 rescued residents to whom we provide constant love and care, including nourishing food, fresh clean water, medical care, comfortable homes, companionship, and love. We have residents of all kinds: goats, sheep, donkeys, big pigs, mini pigs, alpacas, cats, chickens, turkeys, ducks, guinea fowl, geese and dogs! As you can imagine, it takes a lot of water to care for everyone! In Wisconsin, winters are cold and summers are hot! We spend a lot of our time making sure waters are not frozen in the winter and cool and clean in the summer as well as providing water to cool off in, like mud pits for the pigs, pools for the ducks and geese, and spray downs for the alpacas. For years, we have run hoses from our house to the animals in the summer and hauled buckets in the winter when the hoses freeze. Buckets are very heavy, it’s a long way to every animal house, and with all the animals, it’s a lot of buckets! As our sanctuary grows, it is harder and harder to move water (and we are getting older too!)! It is our goal to run water from the house in underground pipes to all the animal houses. Our estimate is $16,640.00 to accomplish this. I can’t tell you how much this would help and make such a difference for the animals! We are a 100% volunteer run and 100% donation funded organization and would truly appreciate your help! A very generous donor has offered to match the first $5000 in donations!
