Who Killed Lawrence of Arabia - websiteWho Killed Lawrence of Arabia on IMDBThe feature film "Lawrence: After Arabia" was released in October 2024 to great acclaim winning 32 awards from 22 film festivals. The film followed TE Lawrence's last year and the motorcycle crash in which he was fatally injured dying six days later. The inquest and funeral were held the same day and evidence began to accumulate that Lawrence's death was not an accident but an assassination. In August 2024, the book "Who Killed Lawrence of Arabia" laid out the evidence, suspects, motive and opportunities who might have killed Lawrence and why and how. The director and writer of both the film and the book was Mark J.T. Griffin who now plans a documentary to present the evidence. The documentary will use the book as its basis and footage from the film. In addition it will use contemporary newsreel and images with expert input which will challenge the established view and present a more compelling picture of the events of 13th May 1935 and those that followed. While many have challenged the evidence for assassination, there is no evidence that it was an accident. The inquest was stage managed, evidence was not followed or ignored. There were a number of reasons why authority would want Lawrence removed. The documentary aims to expose the true story and contributors will help to bring the story to a wider audience and rewrite established history. Current Status Currently the project has completed pre-production including budget and plan. Production has begun with a framework for an hour long film created leaving gaps for newsreel, images and expert interviews. Our goal is to raise £3,000 to complete documentary and present it to mainstream documentary services including Disney, BBC, Sky, Channel 4, Channel 5, History Channel and others. These funds will pay for: Narration from a named actor Filming of expert witnesses Rights to use newsreel and images Editing and graphics Sales, marketing and distribution In return all sponsors will be shown as Associate Producers in the end credits. Additional benefits are available depending on the level of sponsorship including receiving a copy of the documentary and an invite to the premiere. If we don't receive our goal we will use the funds to proceed as far as we can go through the production and sales process. The fund raised have now paid for production and most of post production - we're now aiming to use the final amount for sales, distribution, marketing and festivals.
