The Wells Ogunquit Little League 10U all stars baseball team has battled some very competitive teams over the past few weeks, and forced an extra game against an undefeated team, and WON the district 4 championship - now they’re heading to the state championship tournament!!! This is the first time Wells has ever sent a baseball team to states! We are so proud of this team’s hard work and the discipline it took from the players, coaches, and parents to get here. This years state championship tournament is in Ellsworth, beginning Saturday July 22. This requires a hotel stay during a busy time of year for that area. The tournament is double elimination, so if these boys win, they keep playing! They could be in Ellsworth for a week, which is a high cost for hotel stays and potentially driving back and forth to work in between games. We’re hoping to raise some money to help ease the burden on these families, any funding raised will be distributed evenly among the 12 families. In the event that we have leftover funding, we will donate that back to our Wells Ogunquit Little League program. Any help is appreciated to try to cover some of these costs for this great team! We know we have the support from the community and we’re so thrilled to be bringing Wells to states!!!
