For my Junior Year Spring Break trip I have decided to switch out my party clothes and jump into a pair of scrubs as I travel down to Costa Rica from March 5th to March 12th with the Alpha Epsilon Delta Club (The Health Pre-professional Honor Society). There I will be assisting Doctors and nurses by providing basic checkups, distributing vitamins and medication, educating patients, and shadowing Doctors and nurses. I will also get to venture off into Costa Rica and learn more about the culture while brushing up on my espanol! (Promise that is not the only Spanish word I know!) Lastly I am very excited to be given the opportunity to go on such an eye opening trip that not only will educate me on different health care methods but also be able to take part in helping change other peoples’ lives through medicine, but to do so I need to be able to raise $2,300 by the beginning of Feburary. I have been working really hard with two jobs to try to accomplish paying for this trip but need some help! Any donation is greatly appreciated! This $2,300 will help me with flight cost, transportation throughout the city, food, vaccinations I need to get prior to the trip, scrubs, travel insurance, a white coat, stethoscope, blood pressure cuffs, and of course living expenses. If you could please help me get to Costa Rica with any donation I will be beyond grateful! And of course if you are unable to donate at this moment please pray for safe travels for all of Alpha Epsilon Delta and that we can provide the best health care and assistances to the doctors but to also the patients of Costa Rica! Thank you!
