Hi! I am setting this fundraiser for Chyanne and her cat Dyna. If you have met either of them, you know firsthand how good of a match the two of them are for each other. Since last week though, Dyna has not been doing well – and we don’t yet know what’s wrong. She has been in and out of the kitty ER since Friday. She is severely dehydrated, hasn’t eaten in several days and she’s having issues with her kidneys and her lungs. She’s currently hospitalized, for at least 48 hours as of early evening on July 2nd. The current plan is to get her IV fluids and a feeding tube because she has not been improving at home. We should have more information about the lungs tomorrow (Jul 3rd), and by then hopefully she will respond to the food and fluids and her kidneys improve. i will be posting updates below about the detailed bill charges – the first round of tests cost just over $2000 and Chyanne is looking at at least another $1500 just for this current hospitalization. if you have anything, truly anything, to donate, or if you’re able to share to your friends and family, please do. Help us take care of the little bean! Insurance should help cover a little bit (up to $2000). If these donations exceed what is leftover for Chyanne to pay after insurance, any extra amount will be donated to local shelters and animal care causes. For transparency, here is the cost breakdown so far: $2019.26: prescription food for her kidneys, emergency consult, 2 x-rays, blood panel, fluids for at-home care before she got hospitalized, prescriptions (anti-nausea, painkillers, antibiotics). $1000 (deposit) has been paid into the hospitalization now - we won’t know more until tomorrow, she might need to stay hospitalized longer. Updates will be posted as we learn more. This visit will be at least $1500 for one night, but we are likely looking at 2 nights and other tests in the next few hours/days.
