Hi my name is Ronni and I’m trying to raise money for my sweet boy Utah. I got him when he was 9 weeks old and he’ll be 7 in march. He’s my best friend, my soul dog and my confidant. Utah was diagnosed with hip dysplasia at almost 3 years old. Recently we noticed he started limping. After a few days of it not going away I took him to the vet. They did some X-rays and some tests, and $900 dollars later, I found out he has a partial tear in his ACL on top of his hip dysplasia progressing. They put him on pain meds and recommended bed rest and very limited activity to see if we could get that partial tear to start to heal. After 3 weeks, we had our follow up appointment today and there’s no improvement. The vet informed me that I could continue with pain meds and bed rest but eventually he will need surgery because it will fully tear at some point. In the meantime, he’s now overcompensating with his other leg which could lead to damaging that one in the future.. The estimate for surgery is approximately $3147. I work really hard to provide for me and my dog to barely get by and unfortunately I just don’t have that kind of money laying around. I figured that I might be able to get some help on here. He’s more then just a dog to me. He’s my #1 and deserves everything good in this world. And I’m trying my best to provide that for him. Utah is a good boy. The best boy. And I’m hoping that I can help prolong his quality of life because he deserves it.
