Hi I'm Danielle Defalco, Group Scout Leader for 5th Clyde and 2nd Uddingston Scouts. In January 2024 myself and my team at 5th Clyde Scouts reopened the 2nd Uddingston Scout Hall which had been closed down for a number of years. The inside of the building was really rundown and in dire need of refurbishment. We have worked incredibly hard over the last year and a half in order to get the inside of the hall up to a reasonable standard in order to operate as again as a Scout Hall. The work that we have carried out so far has been amazing and we are now successfully running 2 Scout Groups from the hall which hosts 150 kids a week bringing scouting to the Uddingston Community. Despite all of the hard work that we have achieved so far on the inside, we still have a lot of work to do and are desperately needing financial support to allow us to continue especially with regards to the outside of the building, our outdoor areas, trees etc which are now encroaching onto neighbouring properties and causing unwanted problems. We would be incredibly grateful if we could have any help at all to raise funds to bring the hall up to the fantastic standard that it could be as it could be a real asset to the community.
